FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) – The New York Jets have been outstanding at times, lucky at others and are coming up with victories any way they can.
After edging the Denver Broncos in a game they appeared ready to lose, the Jets (5-1) enter their bye week with a five-game winning streak and the NFL’s best record.
Coach Rex Ryan says Monday that they “kind of wish” they can continue playing and keep the momentum going. He adds that the break might come at a good time to help the team clean up some of their mistakes because “this is just the start of our mission.”
Left tackle D’Brickashaw Ferguson says despite their record, the Jets know they have plenty to improve upon. After all, if not for a late pass interference call in their favor, the Jets would have lost to the Broncos.
