NEW YORK (AP) - Comments on the Atlanta Falcons by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
---
ATLANTA FALCONS (1)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 1) - Good things always bode well for the last undefeated team standing.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 4) - Undefeated, but they don't pass the eye test for being the best team.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 1)
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 1) - 6-0, need I say more.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 1) - Glass half full says Falcons keep finding ways to win. Glass half empty says they're tempting fate with these close calls against mediocre competition. For now, we'll go with the half full theory.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 1) - The reward for a 6-0 start is a bye week for the Falcons. This is the biggest bye week of the NFL season with six teams idle.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 1) - The Falcons are the only unbeaten team, and that's great. But this isn't: They barely escaped Carolina and Oakland ... at home.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 1) - After inventing new ways to win every Sunday, the unbeaten Falcons deserve a week off.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 1) - The only undefeated team in the NFL and they have won three on the road. The defense forces turnovers and the offense capitalizes on takeaways.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 1) - The Falcons are showing that they certainly aren't unbeatable but in the NFL, "you are what you are." That would make them 6-0.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 1) - And then there was one undefeated team, that is.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 1) - They aren't getting any style points for the way they have been winning lately, but they are the NFL's only unbeaten.
