PHILADELPHIA (AP) -The Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday released running back Tony Hunt and signed veteran linebacker Tony White.
Hunt, a third-round draft pick out of Penn State in 2007, was converted to fullback this season. He caught six passes for 42 yards and rushed four times for 9 yards and a TD in limited action.
He finished his college career as Penn State's leader in rushing attempts (654) and was second in yards rushing (3,320).
The 27-year-old White spent the last two-plus seasons with Green Bay, which released him earlier this month.
The six-year veteran has 68 career special teams tackles in 69 games, including two in the 2007 postseason. He recovered a fumbled punt in the end zone for a TD against the Eagles on Sept. 9, 2007.
