FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) – Rex Ryan and the New York Jets insisted all last week they would not lose focus, despite playing the lowly Buffalo Bills.
They were right – in a big way.
The Jets routed the Bills 38-14 on Sunday and showed they might be one of the best all-around teams in the AFC with an efficient offense and stingy defense.
They have won three straight – all in their division – and could be undefeated if not for a poor offensive performance against Baltimore in Week 1.
New York is 3-1 for the second straight season, but the Jets’ next challenge is taking a different path from this point than they did last season. They lost six of seven before rolling into the playoffs, but Brad Smith says this team has a different approach.
