BEREA, Ohio (AP) – Cleveland Browns quarterback Jake Delhomme has been cleared to practice after missing the past two games with a badly sprained right ankle.
Delhomme will practice on Thursday, and coach Eric Mangini said as long as their are no setbacks the 35-year-old will start on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Delhomme has been inactive the past two weeks after injuring his ankle in Cleveland’s season opener. It was his debut with the Browns.
Backup Seneca Wallace started for Delhomme in losses to Kansas City and Baltimore.
Delhomme worked out in the club’s indoor facility on Wednesday with trainers.
