EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) – Defensive end Justin Tuck is bringing a different approach to being the captain of the New York Giants defense.
Unlike Michael Strahan and Antonio Pierce, Tuck isn’t a rah-rah vocal leader of the unit. He’s an insightful, quiet guy who likes to take things in, lead by example and talk when he has something to say.
Tuck had a lot to say on Thursday, just days after safety Antrel Rolle questioned the team’s leadership ability after an embarrassing 38-14 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
Tuck insists the Giants will get things straightened out, and it will be because everyone listened and played like a unit.
