ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) -The Detroit Lions have a lot of tickets to sell to avoid a blackout.
The team said Wednesday it has 10,000 tickets available for Sunday’s home game against the Washington Redskins.
If they’re not sold by Thursday – or Friday, if the NFL grants an extension – the game will not be on TV in the Detroit, Lansing, Saginaw-Flint and Toledo, Ohio, markets.
The Lions had 1,700 tickets available a week ago and sold them after a one-day extension. It allowed local viewers to watch the Lions lose to Minnesota and extend their winless streak to 19 games.
