EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) – Antrel Rolle isn’t backing down from his criticism of the leadership shown by New York Giants’ players nor his concern about the lack of passion the team showed in losing to the Indianapolis Colts.
The veteran safety, however, says he went about it the wrong way.
A day after mouthing off on a radio interview, Rolle acknowledged on Wednesday that he should have voiced his concerns with coach Tom Coughlin before airing them.
Coughlin says that he and Rolle had a good conversation on Tuesday and seemingly are on the same page now.
Coughlin also had a talk with running back Brandon Jacobs on Tuesday about the necessity of controlling his emotions. Jacobs was fined $10,000 by the NFL for tossing his helmet into the stands on Sunday night.
