FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) – Darrelle Revis will not play against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday night because of his strained left hamstring.
After the All-Pro cornerback did not practice Wednesday, coach Rex Ryan said Revis would not even travel with the team to Miami.
Revis was nursing a sore hamstring going into the Jets’ 28-14 victory over the New England Patriots last Sunday. He tried to play but ended up sitting out the entire second half.
On Monday, Revis would not rule himself out for the Miami game, but acknowledged that it could take him a week or two to heal.
All-Pro center Nick Mangold also did not practice. Mangold injured his right shoulder against the Patriots. Linebacker Jason Taylor is practicing with a brace on his left elbow.
