EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -Pro Bowl defensive end Justin Tuck and starting receiver Domenik Hixon have undergone tests for injuries sustained against the Dallas Cowboys.
Giants coach Tom Coughlin had not received the results before his conference call on Monday and was unable to say whether the two would play Sunday against the Buccaneers in Tampa, Fla.
Tuck hurt his shoulder when tripped by Cowboys tackle Flozell Adams. He watched the second half with his arm in a sling. Hixon sprained a knee.
Tuck said he expects to play this weekend, but Coughlin was more cautious.
Coughlin had no immediate update on cornerbacks Aaron Ross (hamstring) and Kevin Dockery (hamstring) and defensive tackle Chris Canty (calf), who all missed Sunday’s game.
