SAN DIEGO (AP) -Rookie right guard Louis Vasquez is one of three starters inactive for the San Diego Chargers’ home opener against the Baltimore Ravens.
The Chargers already knew running back LaDainian Tomlinson and center Nick Hardwick would be sidelined by sprained ankles. There was a chance Vasquez would be out due to a sprained knee.
Backup linebacker Antwan Applewhite (hamstring) also was inactive.
Scott Mruczkowski made his second career start and first at center. Brandyn Dombrowski, who saw his first NFL action in Monday night’s win at Oakland, started in place of Vasquez.
