EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) – Minnesota Vikings safety Husain Abdullah says he’s feeling fine after breaking his Ramadan fast.
Abdullah abstained from eating or drinking during daylight hours to honor the Muslim holiday. It ended on Sept. 9, the day of Minnesota’s season opener at New Orleans.
Abdullah says he’s feeling “great” after losing only six pounds during the fast. He plans to gain that back. What’s more is that Abdullah wound up with a starting job after beating out Tyrell Johnson and Jamarca Sanford.
Abdullah had four tackles against the Saints. He will start again this Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.
