FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) – Cornerback Chevis Jackson is the most prominent player let go by the Atlanta Falcons in the final round of cuts.
The Falcons cut 20 players Saturday to reach the 53-man limit for the regular season. A third-round pick out of LSU in 2008, Jackson had worked as a nickel back the past two years. But he struggled during the preseason and lost his job in a revamped secondary.
Atlanta can bring back up to eight players for the practice squad Sunday.
