The Dallas Cowboys and New York Jets are supposed to be Super Bowl favorites. They sure didn’t look like it this preseason.
Of course, those games also didn’t count.
That’s the trouble with trying to make sense of the preseason. We don’t know how much of the last five weeks will matter once the regular season begins.
Are the unbeaten 49ers really that good? The winless Colts certainly can’t be that bad.
Here are some other noteworthy developments:
– Tony Romo led only one touchdown drive for Dallas, Mark Sanchez led two for the Jets.
– The Packers’ defense played conservatively and gave up a lot of points.
– Pittsburgh’s replacement for suspended quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is hurt.
– The Carolina Panthers didn’t score an offensive touchdown.
