ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) – Wide receiver Kris Durham and running back Mikel Leshoure were among 22 cuts by the Detroit Lions on Saturday as they trimmed their roster to the 53-man limit.
Detroit also released guards Rodney Austin and Garrett Reynolds; tackle Michael Williams, linebackers Shamari Benton, Brandon Hepburn and Julian Stanford; wide receivers Patrick Edwards and Andrew Peacock; tight ends Michael Egnew and Jordan Thompson; defensive tackles Andre Fluellen, Xavier Proctor and Jimmy Saddler-McQueen; cornerbacks Chris Greenwood and Mohammed Seisay; running backs Emil Igwengu and George Winn; center Darren Keyton; safety Nate Ness and defensive end Darryl Tapp.
Durham, a college teammate of Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, caught 38 passes for 490 yards for Detroit last season, but the team appears to have a decent amount of depth at his position now.
