FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) The New England Patriots have placed offensive lineman Tre’ Jackson on the reserve/physically unable to perform list, and waived defensive lineman Terrance Knighton and center Bryan Stork.
The team announced the moves Monday.
The second-year Jackson was active his rookie season in 2015, starting nine games and appearing in 13 total games at right guard during the regular season.
But he sat out both playoff games with a knee injury. Jackson was projected to be in line to start in 2016, but he was never a full participant during training camp.
Stork was traded to Washington last week for an undisclosed draft pick. His rights reverted back to the Patriots on Monday after he reportedly failed his physical.
The seven-year veteran Knighton signed with the Patriots this offseason in April, but became buried on the depth chart. Coach Bill Belichick acknowledged Monday that there were ”other people ahead of him.”
