 KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -Chiefs team physician Dr. Joe Wackerle was carted away from the sideline after two players crashed into him during Kansas City's preseason game with the St. Louis Rams.
Wackerle was conscious when he was taken away late in the second quarter, raising his head as if to look around, but appeared to be in extreme discomfort. The white-haired physician was down for several minutes while several people tended to him.
There was no immediate report on his condition.
