HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) – The Jets returned to their former home, while their star player is still staying away.
Darrelle Revis’ holdout reached its 25th day as the Jets held their annual practice at Hofstra University on Wednesday night. New York was based at the Long Island school from 1968 until moving to their current facility in Florham Park, N.J., after training camp ended two years ago.
Coach Rex Ryan declined comment on Revis, who wants to be the highest-paid cornerback in the league. Despite several conflicting reports about Revis potentially signing, there was no indication that a deal was close.
Former Florida State coach Bobby Bowden was an invited guest of the Jets, and spent a portion of the practice talking with Ryan and the players.
