MANKATO, Minn. (AP) -After two weeks of training camp, Minnesota’s passing game is still a work in progress.
Brett Favre or not, this was going to be the biggest focus of the Vikings’ season. Tarvaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels have shown their ups and downs during their auditions for the starting job.
Coach Brad Childress wouldn’t say Wednesday which player will start the preseason opener against the Colts, but has downplayed the significance of his choice.
Jackson says the offense has come a long way, but that the group still has a long way to go before the regular season begins.
The Vikings held their final practice at Minnesota State University in Mankato and will travel Thursday to Indianapolis.
