LATROBE, Pa. (AP) -The Steelers are giving pass rusher LaMarr Woodley every opportunity to match or surpass the 13 1/2 sacks he had a year ago, nearly all of them during the second half of the season.
They’re designing alignments that take advantage of Woodley’s proven pass-rushing skills. They’re surrounding him with players who can create lanes to the quarterback for him and outside linebacker James Harrison. They’re keeping him on the field during most downs.
There’s one thing the Steelers aren’t giving Woodley: the money they know he deserves.
