CORTLAND, N.Y. (AP) -The New York Jets have completed their first training camp practice without star cornerback Darrelle Revis.
Revis is holding out in a contract dispute and is scheduled to make $1 million in the fourth year of his six-year rookie deal.
He wants to be the NFL’s highest-paid cornerback. He is seeking a contract that would surpass the three-year, $45.3 million extension Oakland’s Nnamdi Asomugha signed last offseason.
Dwight Lowery worked mostly with the first-team defense Monday alongside Antonio Cromartie, who was moved from right cornerback to Revis’ normal left-side spot.
Quarterback Mark Sanchez was also a full participant, saying he’s a full-go after being limited in the offseason following surgery on his left knee.
