FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady says he’s determined to keep his contract negotiations from becoming a distraction to the team.
Brady, who turns 33 Monday, said after practice Friday morning at Patriots training camp that he would like to play another 10 years, hopefully for New England. He is making $6.5 million in the final year of his contract
Brady believes he has the mental toughness to not let the contract talks or anything else become a distraction that would affect his play.
He says he’s under contract and it’s his responsibility to play as well as he can. He said that’s what he plans to do, “come out here and compete.”
