HOUSTON (AP) -The Houston Texans signed rookie linebacker Zac Diles on Thursday.
Diles, a seventh-round pick, played in 24 games in two seasons at Kansas State and had 92 tackles last year. He also had seven tackles for loss and 3 1/2 sacks.
The Texans also signed defensive tackle Thomas Smith from the Hamburg Sea Devils of NFL Europa and released tight end Luke Smith-Anderson.
Smith had 24 tackles and four sacks to help the Sea Devils to the World Bowl title.
