INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -The Indianapolis Colts are adding a sponsor logo to their practice jerseys.
The team said Wednesday it has finalized an agreement for players to wear an Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance patch when they open training camp Aug. 3 in Terre Haute.
Colts spokesman Craig Kelley says the deal was rolled into Farm Bureau’s current naming rights contract for the team’s Indianapolis practice facility, which runs another five years. Terms of the deal, first reported by The Indianapolis Star, were not disclosed.
NFL owners voted in March to permit the sponsor patches. The league, however, does not allow corporate logos on game jerseys.
The New York Jets will have the logo of Atlantic Health, a New Jersey-based health care provider, on their practice jerseys. Teams including Houston and Green Bay were exploring similar options.
