EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -The Minnesota Vikings have assembled for practice, without Brett Favre. But rookie Percy Harvin has eagerly arrived for duty.
The first-round draft pick out of Florida missed the team’s rookie minicamp earlier this month when he was hospitalized for a virus and severe dehydration. Agent Joel Segal confirmed Tuesday that Harvin is participating in voluntary practice sessions this week.
Segal said Harvin is fully recovered and ready to get started with his new team.
As for Favre? The Vikings haven’t talked about the supposedly retired quarterback since acknowledging interest in him last week. The team is waiting while Favre assesses the health of his throwing shoulder.
