BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -Undrafted University of California free safety Brett Johnson has signed a rookie free agent contract with the Buffalo Bills.
The school announced the signing late Saturday night following the conclusion of the three-day NFL draft. Johnson was a two-year starter, who finished with 107 career tackles and three interceptions, including one he returned for a touchdown.
Listed at 6-foot-1 and 194 pounds, he’s a speedster with leaping ability.
The Bills, as policy, do not announce rookie free agent signings until the players arrive in Buffalo. The Bills are scheduled to hold a three-day rookie minicamp that opens on May 7.
