INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Andrew Luck is eager to see some old faces on the practice field.
It’s not just because Indianapolis’ offseason workouts opened this week, either. The Colts’ quarterback likes seeing everyone healthy.
Luck & Co. spent much of last season patching holes after starting tight end Dwayne Allen, starting running back Vick Ballard, Ballard’s replacement, Ahmad Bradshaw, starting guard Donald Thomas and Pro Bowl receiver Reggie Wayne all sustained season-ending injuries. On Wednesday, all five were back in the locker room, hopeful of being ready for the start of training camp.
Some of the players have already been cleared to practice.
But team doctors are taking a cautious approach with all five.
