GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) – Although the NFL lockout prohibits most contact between team officials and players, Green Bay Packers general manager Ted Thompson says the team is able to keep tabs on the progress of injured players during the offseason.
Thompson says team physician Pat McKenzie is staying in touch with Packers players who are rehabilitating their injuries, and didn’t express any concerns about players falling behind.
A league spokesman says team doctors can check on the progress of injured players’ rehabilitation as long as such contact happens away from team facilities.
The Packers shook off a rash of injuries to win the Super Bowl last season.
