FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) -LaDainian Tomlinson says you shouldn’t believe everything you see on film when it comes to his last few seasons in San Diego.
The New York Jets’ newest running back said Thursday that several factors led to his decreased production with the Chargers the last few seasons. Tomlinson says “everything was taken away from me” in San Diego, including a commitment to the running game.
Tomlinson signed a two-year deal with the Jets as a free agent last month, and insists he can still make defensive players miss. At 30, he says he’s motivated by those who say he’s washed up and is no longer a dangerous player.
He was cut in February after nine seasons in San Diego and a career-low 730 yards rushing.
