INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -Marvin Harrison and the Indianapolis Colts could be about to part ways.
Harrison’s agent told The Associated Press on Tuesday he expected the team to announce at an afternoon news conference that it is releasing the star receiver.
Condon said Harrison met with team owner Jim Irsay in the afternoon in a last effort to re-sign the franchise’s career receiving leader. But after the meeting, Condon said he was unaware of any deal that would keep Harrison in a Colts uniform.
A day earlier, Condon said the Colts had agreed to release Harrison after he declined a pay cut. The Indianapolis Star later reported that Irsay wanted to make a final attempt to retain the 13-year veteran.
