VICKSBURG, Miss. (AP) – Super Bowl hero Malcolm Butler’s Mississippi hometown will have a parade in his honor on Saturday, adding yet another hard-to-fathom moment for the Patriots defensive back, who says his life has gone from ”zero to 100” in the past three weeks.
The reason for Butler’s instant fame is now well known: In the final seconds of the Super Bowl, the undrafted rookie intercepted a Russell Wilson pass at the goal line to seal the victory for New England. Since then he’s appeared on the ”Today Show” and ”Tonight Show” and at the Grammy Awards.
The day before the Super Bowl, he posted a picture of the Vicksburg city seal on his Facebook page, thanking family and friends for supporting him.
Now, Vicksburg gets a chance to love him back.
