JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -The Jacksonville Jaguars have filled vacancies by hiring tight ends coach Rob Boras, running backs coach Earnest Byner, assistant defensive line coach Ben Albert and offensive staff assistants Matt Griffin and Ron Heller.
Coach Jack Del Rio also hired defensive line coach Joe Cullen last week.
The additions Thursday complete one of the biggest staff turnovers in Del Rio’s eight years as coach. Former tight ends coach Mike Tice and running backs coach Kennedy Pola left Jacksonville to take positions elsewhere. Del Rio also fired defensive line coach Ted Monachino.
Boras and Byner were fired from their previous NFL jobs. Boras spent the past six seasons as Chicago’s tight ends coach, and Byner worked the last two years as running backs coach for Tennessee.
