IRVING, Texas (AP) – For Donald Driver, winning a Super Bowl would be the ultimate payoff for years of hard yards and crunching hits.
In his 12 seasons with the Green Bay Packers, Driver has made a living doing the dirty work some wide receivers won’t – going over the middle, exposing himself to big hits and holding onto the ball. And now that Driver finally has made it to a Super Bowl, all that punishment will be worth it if he can help the Packers beat the Steelers at Cowboys Stadium on Sunday.
Driver has taken a back seat to Greg Jennings as the team’s No. 1 receiver, but says he doesn’t mind a lower profile as long as it helps the Packers win.
And he isn’t worried about his nerves Sunday, saying, “you get to the point where you just know that you’ve got to win it all.”
