IRVING, Texas (AP) – Charles Woodson insists he hasn’t lost a step, and believes he still has a few good years left in him.
And there’s no reason to think the Green Bay Packers aren’t built to contend for years to come.
Still, Woodson’s 13 seasons of NFL experience with one Super Bowl appearance – a loss – tell him that Sunday’s matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers might be his last shot at the championship he wants to complete his career.
The Packers’ cornerback lost the 2003 Super Bowl with the Oakland Raiders, a loss that still bothers him because he was playing hurt and wasn’t at his best. He has matured greatly since then and now is considered one of the Packers’ veteran leaders.
Woodson calls Sunday’s game a “golden, golden opportunity” to get the championship he has been waiting for.
