MIAMI (AP) -NFL active sacks leader Jason Taylor says he wants to play in 2010 and hopes to remain with the Miami Dolphins, but he concedes he might not be wanted back.
Taylor, a six-time Pro Bowl pick, has spent 12 of his 13 seasons with the Dolphins. He was exiled to the Washington Redskins in 2008, then returned to Miami in 2009 with a one-year contract. He had seven sacks, an interception and forced three fumbles this season.
The 35-year-old Taylor said Friday he wants to continue his career. The Dolphins are in the market for an upgrade at linebacker and haven’t said whether they want Taylor or 32-year-old Joey Porter back.
