OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) – Ravens offensive coordinator Cam Cameron has been retained by coach John Harbaugh, who’s in line for a contract extension after taking Baltimore to the playoffs for a third straight year.
Cameron’s offense was ranked 22nd during the regular season and finished 16th in scoring despite the addition of receivers Anquan Boldin, T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Donte’ Stallworth. The Ravens scored just three points and could muster only 28 yards of offense in the second half of Saturday’s 31-24 defeat at Pittsburgh.
But Harbaugh ended speculation about Cameron’s job security Monday, saying, “Cam Cameron is our offensive coordinator. That’s how we’re going forward.”
Ravens president Dick Cass says the team is working on an extension for Harbaugh and expects the deal to happen soon. Harbaugh has one year left on his current contract.
