INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -The Colts defense looked fast Saturday night.
That was the plan.
A week after Baltimore rushed for 234 yards at New England, Indy limited the Ravens to 87 yards and only two first downs on the ground.
Coach Jim Caldwell acknowledged Sunday that the defense played quicker against Baltimore, which was precisely why he gave players so much time to rest their legs over a 28-day stretch when the Colts didn’t play a meaningful game.
He wanted them rested, ready and fast.
And on Saturday they were all of those things.
