NEW YORK (AP) – Rex Ryan and the Jets took care of one nemesis by edging Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts.
Next up: Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots.
Moments after a blowout loss a month ago, Ryan said he wanted to go out and play the Patriots again. He had to wait a few weeks, but the Jets (12-5) get their shot at revenge next Sunday at Foxborough.
Ryan added fuel to an already heated rivalry a few days ago when he said no one studies the game the way Manning does, even though Brady “thinks he does.” There’s certainly never any shortage of story lines when the Jets and Patriots (14-2) square off.
The Jets are feeling pretty good about themselves after beating the Colts 17-16 as time expired Saturday.
