ASHBURN, Va. (AP) -Washington Redskins general manager Bruce Allen says the team is “in the process of talking” to potential replacements for fired coach Jim Zorn.
Allen gave no timetable for getting a new coach. He wouldn’t comment on Mike Shanahan, who is considered the favorite to get the job.
Zorn was fired early Monday after the team returned to Redskins Park following Sunday’s season-ending 23-20 loss at San Diego.
The Redskins went 4-12 this season. Asked about the decision to dismiss Zorn, Allen said: “The record speaks for itself.”
