INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -Colts coach Jim Caldwell believes his team is healthy, rested and ready for the playoffs.
After resting his starters most of the past two weeks, to the chagrin of fans, Caldwell said Monday that the team is right where it hoped to be heading into the postseason.
Indianapolis apparently avoided any major injuries in Sunday’s 30-7 loss at Buffalo, something other playoff teams such as New England and Arizona did not do in their regular-season finales. And injured players who have sat out the past two games are expected to be healthy after the Colts’ first-round bye.
Caldwell said the coaching staff would spend this week devising mock game plans for the three potential divisional-round opponents.
