NEW YORK: One week after trouncing the Saints 52-27, the Giants were trounced themselves. Atlanta crushed New York 34-0 as Eli Manning was picked off on his first pass attempt. He completed 13-of-25 passes for 161 yards with two picks, while David Wilson rushed 12 times for 55 yards. Dominick Hixon also caught five passes for 80 yards while Hakeem Nicks caught three passes for 40 yards and Victor Cruz was held to three catches for 15 yards. The loss dropped the Giants’ record to 8-6 and 6-7-1 against the spread as they failed to cover as a 1-point road underdog. New York is now in a three-way tie for first place in the NFC East, although the Washington Redskins currently own the top spot in the division due to tiebreakers. The Giants could need to win out to make the postseason.

BALTIMORE: The Ravens have now lost three straight games after dropping a 34-17 decision to the Denver Broncos in Week 15. Joe Flacco completed 20-of-40 passes for 254 yards with two touchdowns but he lost a fumble and threw a pick-six to put his team in an early hole. Ray Rice was also held to 38 yards on 12 carries while tight end Dennis Pitta caught seven passes for 125 yards and two touchdowns. The loss dropped Baltimore’s record to 9-5 overall and 5-8-1 against the spread as it failed to cover as a 3-point underdog last Sunday. The Ravens are still in first place in the AFC North but the Bengals are now only one game back after beating the Eagles last week. The Steelers are also still in the mix at 7-7, although they need to beat the Bengals this Sunday or else they’ll be bounced from playoff contention.

ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Giants are 1-point favorites versus the Ravens while the over/under total is currently sitting at 47 points. New York is 8-6 overall and 3-4 on the road, while Baltimore is 9-5 overall and 5-2 at home.

TRENDS: The Giants are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games following an ATS loss and 10-3-1 against the number versus a team with a winning record. The Ravens are 1-5 against the spread in their last six home games, 0-3-1 ATS versus a team with a winning record and 0-6 ATS in their last six games in December. The over is also 3-0-1 in the last four meetings between these two teams.
