Missing Pats
Foxborough, MA – Wide receiver Randy Moss and three linebackers are not at the New England Patriots practice.
Coach Bill Belichick declined to comment on their absence. According to the Providence Journal’s Web site, Moss and linebackers Adalius Thomas, Gary Guyton and Derrick Burgess showed up late to an 8 a.m. team meeting and were sent home.
A moderate snowfall slowed traffic in the area Wednesday morning.
Tom Brady also was not spotted during the media availability period, but he had a good reason: His supermodel wife gave birth to a baby boy on Tuesday. Brady said he and wife Gisele Bundchen have not yet picked out a name.
The Patriots, who have lost three of their last four games, play at home Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
