Total moving down in MNF matchup
GREEN BAY, WI (The Spread) – Despite the assumption that it’ll be a high-scoring game, the total in tonight’s Monday night matchup between the Falcons and Packers is trending down.
The total for tonight’s game opened at 55 but according to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the line has moved down a half point to 54.5. Given Green Bay’s penchant to put up points and Atlanta’s desire to give them up, the over has been a hot play for tonight’s game. But as we discussed earlier today, the under was 10-4 in Sunday’s 14 NFL games and given the cold weather for tonight’s game, there might not be enough points scored on both sides to cover the large number.
The trends are split when it comes tonight’s matchup. The over is 7-1 in the Packers’ last eight games on grass, 6-1 in their last seven games versus NFC opponents and 5-1 in their last six home games. The over is also 6-1 in their last seven games following an ATS win and 5-2 in the Falcons’ last seven Monday games.
That said, the under is 4-0 in Atlanta’s four road games, 5-1 in its last six games versus NFC opponents and 4-1 in its last five road games versus a team with a winning home record. The under is also 4-1 in the Packers’ last five Monday games and 5-1 in their last six games in Week 14.
Kickoff for tonight’s game is set for 8:30PM ET and Green Bay remains a 13-point favorite at most books.
