NEW YORK: The Giants erased back-to-back losses with a 38-10 stomping of the Packers in New York last Sunday night. Eli Manning completed 16-of-30 passes for 249 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions, while Ahmad Bradshaw rushed 58 yards on 10 carries and one touchdown. Hakeem Nicks also caught five passes for 77 yards with one touchdown, while Victor Cruz caught three passes for 36 yards and a score. The win improved New York’s record to 7-4 overall and 5-5-1 against the spread after covering as a 1-point favorite. Not only did they erase a two-game losing streak with the win over Green Bay, but the Giants also covered for the first time in three weeks. They currently own a two-game lead over the Redskins in the win column in the NFC East.
WASHINGTON: The Redskins have now won back-to-back games following their 38-31 win over the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day last week. Robert Griffin III completed 19-of-27 passes for 304 yards with four touchdowns and one interception, while Alfred Morris rushed for 113 yards on 24 carries with one score. Pierre Garcon, Aldrick Robinson, Santana Moss and Niles Paul all caught touchdowns in the victory, which improved Washington’s record to 5-6 on the year. The Skins also covered as a 3.5-point underdog and have now covered the number in four of their last six games. Washington is 6-5 against the spread this season.
ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Giants are 3-point favorites versus the Redskins while the over/under total is currently sitting at 50 points. New York is 7-4 overall and 3-2 on the road, while Washington is 5-6 overall and 2-3 at home.
TRENDS: The under is 4-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams, but the over is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings in Washington. The Giants are 0-4 against the spread in their last four meetings with the Redskins, while the underdog is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings.
