The NFL action this week got started on Thanksgiving Day, when the Patriots crushed the Lions 45-24 as a six-point favorite. The Saints nipped the Cowboys 30-27 in the second game, but failed to cover as a 4.5-point favorite (per NFL Week 12 odds) and in the night cap, the Jets beat the Bengals 26-10 as a 10-point favorite.
On Sunday, the Vikings beat the Redskins 17-13 in Leslie Frazier’s debut as intirm head coach. The Browns also beat the lowly Panhters 24-23, but they failed to cover as a 9-point favorite. The Steelers also won but failed to cover, as they beat the Bills 19-16 in overtime as a 6.5-point favorite.
The Texans had no problems with the Titans, as they beat Tennessee 20-0 as a 5-point favorite. The Giants came from behind to beat the Jaguars 24-20, but they failed to cover as a 7.5-point favorite (set by oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com).
In the game of the week, the Falcons and Packers traded blows in the fourth quarter before Atlanta won 20-17 and covered as a 2.5-point favorite. In the other big-time matchup, the Bears handled the Eagles 31-26 as a 3-point home underdog.
In the late games, the Chiefs absoultely hammered the Chiefs 42-24, scoring 21 points in the final quarter after being shutout in the third. Kansas City was a 1-point favoirte and the total sailed over the 45 points. The Dolphins upset the Raiders 33-17 as a 3-point underdog, the Rams edged out the Broncos 36-33 as a 4-point dog and the Bucs pulled off a backdoor cover in a 17-10 loss to the Ravens. (Tampa was a 7.5-point underdog.)
