The Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos close out the NFL action on Sunday at 8:30PM ET. Here’s a breakdown of the action.
According to the oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Broncos are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -3.5 points against the Chiefs. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 39 points. Denver has won seven of the last eight against KCS, going 5-3 against the spread in those eight games. These two are 6-2-2 with the under in their last 10 meetings.
The Chiefs are coming off a surprising 19-17 loss at home to Tampa Bay, which snapped a 5-game win streak. KC is now 7-3 on the season and just 4-6 against the spread. They are 8-2 with the under, having hit it in six straight games. The reason for the unders is a defense that is allowing just 18.7 points per game this season, which ranks fifth in the NFL. The unit is led by Dee Ford, who has 32 tackles with 10 sacks on the year. Offensively, KC is putting up just 22.2 points and 346.6 yards per game. They have struggled to establish much of a run game this year, averaging only 97.9 yards per game on the ground. Alex Smith has thrown for 2,077 yards and nine touchdowns with four interceptions, but he is to be without top receiver Jeremy Maclin once again. Maclin will sit out another game with a groin injury.

Denver is coming off a 25-23 win at New Orleans two weeks ago to move to 7-3 on the season. The Broncos are now 7-3 against the spread as well, covering in all the wins, while going 5-5 with the over/under total. Denver also has a tremendous defense, allowing just 18.9 points and 334.3 yards per game. The unit has racked up 29 sacks, led by 9.5 from Von Miller. Offensively, Denver has struggled, posting just 23.9 points and 339.5 yards per game. Trevor Siemian has thrown for 2,028 yards and 12 touchdowns, but also has seven interceptions. The Denver run game is relying on rookie Devontae Booker, who has 396 yards and two scores this year.
