BALTIMORE: The Ravens appear to be hitting their groove again after winning back-to-back games the past two weeks. Following their 25-15 win over the Browns two weeks ago, Baltimore crushed Oakland 55-20 lat Sunday. The Ravens have now won six of their last seven games and have also covered the spread in consecutive games after failing to cover the number in five straight. They’re now 7-2 overall and still have a one-game lead over the Steelers in the AFC North, and they’re now 4-5 against the spread this season. The over is also 6-3 in Baltimore’s first nine games.
PITTSBURGH: It wasn’t pretty but the Steelers were able to beat the Chiefs 16-13 in overtime on Monday Night Football earlier this week. It was Pittsburgh’s fourth straight victory, although the win came with a price. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger suffered a shoulder injury and is now doubtful to play in tonight’s game. Byron Leftwich will draw the start after struggling in spot duty on Monday. The win bumped the Steelers’ record up to 6-3 although they failed to cover the 12.5-point spread so their ATS record is now 4-5 on the year. The under is also 6-3 in the team’s nine games this season.
ODDS: Oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv have installed the Steelers as 3.5-point favorites over the Ravens, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 41 points. Baltimore is 7-2 overall and 2-2 on the road, while Pittsburgh is 6-3 overall and 4-0 at home.
TRENDS: The over is 7-1-1 in the last nine meetings in Pittsburgh and 9-3-1 in the last 13 meetings overall. The underdog is also 7-3-1 against the spread in the last 11 meetings between these two teams.
