Oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com have made the Bears a 1-point favorite over the Vikings in Week 10. The over/under total for this game is currently 40.5 points.
The Vikings come into this game 3-5 and have covered in just two of their first six games. They’re also 0-4 on the road this year and have failed to cover in all four games away from the Metrodome.
The Bears are keeping pace with the Packers in the division with a 5-3 record but they’re just 3-4-1 against the number. They’re 2-2 at home this season but have failed to cover in three of their four games at Solider Field.
Our Week 10 Free Pick:
The side is too close to call. The Bears have caught a ton of breaks to get to where they are and they may be the most overrated team in the NFL. But the Vikings needed a miracle comeback in the fourth quarter to beat a lousy Arizona team at home last week, so it’s not like they’re anything to write home about either.
With that in mind, we think there’s more value in the total than the side. The over is 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams in Chicago and 6-2-1 in the last nine meetings overall. Both Brett Favre and Jay Cutler love themselves the turnover and usually that means points on both sides of the ball. Our pick is the over.
