Browns vs. Saints Free Pick
Rookie Colt McCoy will get his second start of his young career when his Browns take on the defending Super Bowl champion Saints at 1:00PM ET on Sunday. Read on to check out the latest point spread and our free pick for this non-conference matchup in the NFL.
Before we get to our free pick, let’s take a look at the current point spread.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Saints 13-point favorites over the Browns in Week 7. The over/under total for this game is currently 43.5 points.
The Browns enter this game with a 1-5 record and have covered in only two of their first six games. They’re 0-3 on the road this year and have failed to cover in two of those three road games.
The Saints are 4-2 this season but are just 2-4 against the number. They’re 2-1 at home this season, but have failed to cover in two of those three games, which include an outright loss to the Falcons and a near-loss to the Panthers.
Our Pick:
McCoy may only be a rookie starting in his second game, but he looked poised last week against Pittsburgh, which owns one of the toughest defenses in the league. If he was able to move the ball some against the Steelers, he may have even more success against an aggressive New Orleans defense that can be had in coverage. On the other side, the Saints are banged up but Drew Brees and company should be able to move the ball against a defense that could be on the field a lot in the second half. Our pick in this one is the over.
The over is 4-0 in Cleveland’s last four games after its accumulated less than 90 yards rushing in its previous outing. It’s also 4-1 in the Saints’ last five games following a straight up win and 4-1 in their last five games after allowing less than 15 points in their previous contest.
