Two teams in desperate need of a win meet on Sunday as Carolina hosts San Francisco at 1PM ET.
The 49ers are 1-5 on the season after getting their first win last week, but San Francisco is 0-3 on the road. Carolina is 0-5 on the season and 0-3 at home. Carolina has won 9 of the last 16 meetings with San Francisco.
Oddsmakers from online sportsbook Sportsbook.com have made San Francisco a 2-point favorite on the road against Carolina. The over/under has been set at 35.5.
The opening odds had the 49ers favored by three points but that has now dropped to San Francisco -2. The over/under opened at 34.5 and has now climbed up to 35.5.
The 49ers are coming off a 17-9 win at home over Oakland last weekend. Prior to that, San Francisco had lost three games by three points or less in the first five weeks. James Anderson is leading the Carolina defense with 53 tackles and two sacks.

The 49ers could be without cornerback Nate Clements, who is questionable for Sunday’s game with a leg injury while tight end Delanie Walker is out with an ankle injury. Carolina tackle Jeff Otah is questionable to play with a knee injury.
